What to do

Affected stakeholders should contact their responsible military airworthiness authority to obtain the applicable AD for the Airbus A400M. They should follow the legally valid military AD requirements for oxygen flexible hose replacement. No specific compliance deadlines are provided in this document.

Summary

The document titled Oxygen — Flexible Hoses — Replacement is an informational Airworthiness Directive record related to the Airbus A400M military aeroplane. It clarifies that no civil Airbus A400M aircraft exist, so no public AD document is issued by EASA. The document serves as a recommendation for military authorities to issue their own applicable ADs for the affected aircraft.

What changed

This document introduces an informational AD record rather than a legally binding directive, due to the absence of Airbus A400M aeroplanes in civil service. It directs military airworthiness authorities to issue their own ADs based on this recommendation. No direct regulatory changes or amendments are imposed by EASA in this record.

Why it matters

This matters because it informs aviation professionals, especially those involved with military aircraft maintenance and compliance, that the official airworthiness requirements for the Airbus A400M are governed by military authorities, not EASA. Operators and MROs must refer to their national military ADs to ensure compliance. It clarifies the regulatory framework and prevents confusion regarding applicable directives.
