EASA AD 2025-0057
Time Limits / Maintenance Checks — Airworthiness Limitation Section Part 4, System Equipment Maintenance Requirements — Amendment
Summary
EASA Airworthiness Directive 2025-0057 is an amendment addressing the Time Limits and Maintenance Checks in the Airworthiness Limitation Section Part 4 for Airbus A330 aeroplanes. It applies to all Airbus A330 models including A330-201, A330-202, A330-203, A330-223, A330-223F, A330-243, A330-243F, A330-301, A330-302, A330-303, A330-321, A330-322, A330-323, A330-341, A330-342, A330-343, A330-841, and A330-941. The directive mandates compliance with updated system equipment maintenance requirements to ensure continued airworthiness.
What Changed
This directive supersedes EASA AD 2024-0014 and introduces new and/or more restrictive maintenance tasks and life limits as specified in Airbus A330 Airworthiness Limitations Section Part 4, Revision 10. It updates the Aircraft Maintenance Programme to incorporate these revised tasks and intervals, reflecting the latest safety requirements.
Why It Matters
The updated maintenance requirements are mandatory to prevent unsafe conditions caused by system equipment failures. Operators, maintenance organizations, and compliance teams must adhere to these changes to maintain regulatory compliance and ensure the safety and reliability of Airbus A330 fleets. Failure to comply could result in grounding or unsafe operation of affected aircraft.
What To Do
Affected operators must replace components before exceeding new life limits and perform all maintenance tasks within specified intervals starting from 31 March 2025. They must revise their Aircraft Maintenance Programme within 12 months of the effective date to include the updated tasks and thresholds. Any discrepancies found during maintenance must be corrected before the next flight, following Airbus instructions or approved alternatives.
