Flight Controls - Excess Fiberglass Content in Aileron Control System and Flap Interconnect System Components

Canadian Airworthiness Directive CF-2018-27 addresses excess fiberglass content in Teflon™ parts used in the aileron control system and flap interconnect system of Viking Air Limited CL-215-6B11 (CL-215 and CL-415 variants) aircraft. The directive mandates inspections and replacement of affected Teflon™ components to prevent potential cable wear and rupture. This AD applies specifically to certain serial numbers of these aircraft models.
