Engine — Low Pressure Compressor Blades — Inspection

EASA Airworthiness Directive 2018-0202R1 is a regulatory document addressing the inspection requirements for low pressure compressor fan blades on Rolls-Royce RB211-535E4 series engines, which are installed on aircraft including Boeing 757 and Tupolev TU-204. The directive mandates repetitive inspections to detect cracks in fan blade roots that could lead to blade failure and potential engine debris release. It provides detailed inspection intervals based on engine model and flight profile, along with corrective actions and optional terminating modifications.
