EASA Airworthiness Directive 2022-0044R1 is an updated regulatory document addressing safety concerns related to Solo 2350 C and 2350 D engines installed on DG-Flugzeugbau Model DG-1000T and certain Schempp-Hirth powered sailplanes. It mandates modifications and inspections of specific excentre shaft/axle parts to prevent shaft failure and propeller detachment. The directive applies to all manufacturer serial numbers of these engines and includes life limits and installation prohibitions for affected parts.
