EASA Regulations for Pratt & Whitney Canada JT15D

Engine — Compressor Section — Impeller Fracture due to Machining Step

Canadian Airworthiness Directive CF-2022-27 addresses a safety issue in Pratt & Whitney Canada JT15D-1, JT15D-1A, and JT15D-1B engines with impeller part number 3020365 installed. The directive mandates inspection of the engine compressor impeller for fractures caused by machining steps that can lead to uncontained engine failure. This directive applies to engines built before Service Bulletin 7151 and requires corrective actions to prevent potential in-flight engine damage.
