Main Wing — Lower Skin External Reinforcement Doublers — Inspection
EASA Airworthiness Directive 2024-0006 is an airworthiness directive addressing the inspection of main wing lower skin external reinforcement doublers on Piaggio Aviation P.180 Avanti and Avanti II aeroplanes with specific serial numbers. The directive mandates repetitive high frequency eddy current (HFEC) inspections of affected parts identified by part numbers 80-212457-001 and 80-212457-002 to detect corrosion and cracks. It applies to aeroplanes with or without embodiment of Piaggio Aero Industries Service Bulletin 80-0482.
