EASA Regulations for Changhe Z11

Engine Fuel & Control — High Pressure / Low Pressure Fuel Pump Metering Unit — Inspection / Replacement

EASA Airworthiness Directive 2017-0102R2 is an updated regulatory requirement addressing inspection and replacement of the high pressure/low pressure fuel pump metering unit on SAFRAN Helicopter Engines ARRIEL 2 series engines. These engines are commonly installed on Airbus Helicopters AS 350 B3, EC 130 B4, and Changhe Z11 helicopters. The directive mandates inspections and modifications to prevent uncoupling of the LP fuel pump impeller and HP fuel pump shaft, which can lead to engine power loss or in-flight shutdown.
