Fuel - Fuel Vent Check Valve - Replacement / Airplane Flight Manual Revision

Federal Aviation Administration Airworthiness Directive 2019-10-06 is a final rule addressing certain Aviat Aircraft Inc. Models A-1C-180 and A-1C-200 airplanes equipped with Rapco part number RA1798-00-1 fuel vent check valves. The directive requires revising the airplane flight manual to include a pre-flight check of these fuel vent check valves and mandates replacing any inoperative valves with Aviat part number 38266-501 valves. This AD aims to prevent fuel starvation caused by fuel vent check valves sticking in the closed position.
