EASA Regulations for Airbus A340-600

Engine — Intermediate Pressure Compressor Rotor Shaft and Balance Weights — Inspection / Modification

EASA Airworthiness Directive 2014-0152R2 is an updated regulatory requirement addressing inspection and modification of the intermediate pressure compressor rotor shaft and balance weights on Rolls-Royce RB211 Trent 500, 800, and 900 series engines. These engines are commonly installed on Airbus A340-500, A340-600, Airbus A380, and Boeing 777 aircraft. The directive mandates inspections and modifications to detect and correct cracks that could compromise rotor integrity and aircraft safety.
